Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) at Clayton
Collect your visa label, apply for Permission to Work (paper applications) or apply for a visa extension.

Date:  Tuesday 2nd September
Time: 10:00am – 3:30pm
Venue: Student Service Centre, Building 10

Appointments can be booked at the Health, Wellbeing & Development Hub.  Students applying for a visa extension must have lodged an application via the internet in advance and received an email from DIAC notifying them that their application has been approved.
DIAC Presentation on Permanent Residency
The Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) will be at the Clayton campus to give a presentation on skilled migration options for international students. No bookings required.

Date:  Thursday 4th September
Time: 1:00pm - 2:00pm
Venue: Building 11/H1

Peer Mentor Program – Call for Volunteers
We are looking for Peer Mentors (local and international students) who are interested in assisting new international students settle in to their university life at Monash.

All Mentors will receive free leadership and cultural awareness training and certificates.  The next training program will be held in February 2009.  If you are interested, check the mentor application details at http://www.monash.edu.au/international/peermentor/index.html
Mid – Autumn Festival

MAF
MUISS is organising a Mid Autumn Festival celebration to be held on the 11th of September from 6:30 to 9:00 pm at the Main Dining Room, Campus Centre.  The Mid Autumn festival is the second most important holiday in the Chinese calendar.

Tickets at $10 (non culture card holders) and $8 (culture cardholders), includes dinner, a glimpse of Chinese culture and moon cakes.
